Unlike the version worn by USMC Officers, the enlisted cap insignia omits the motto ribbon held by the eagle with the inscription “Semper Fidelis.” The enlisted insignia is rendered all in gold, as opposed to the mixture of gold and silver used for the Officers’ cap device, and the enlisted insignia has the rope attached continuously to the anchor instead of in two discrete points as on the Officers’ device.
