Description: Native American Indian Pestle Grounding Stone, I found this 50 years ago in southern California, in a heavy Oak Tree area, weighing 2.3 lbs, length 5 1/2" Width at bottom around 3 1/2", this Pestle fits the hand very well, having multiple use, Bottom for grinding acorns as such, smaller end for small quantities, for medicine, or herbs possibly, side for Spreading, Cone Shape and narrow through the center seems to provide excellent leverage to the user in any function that this stone needed to provide, this Granite Pestle is embedded with Mica, a gold flake sparkle which adds to this piece, seems no matter how this is held with the hand, or used, this piece was thought out and shaped for the purpose mentioned and more, I would classify this as prehistoric, with the study I've done in the area historically,
