Brand new "self-lubricating" replacement multi-point main spindle bearing for almost all vintage Garrard turntables.It can only be "self-lubricating" by using the included Super Lube synthetic grease...I use this on all my restorations...within the bearing cage, no steel bearing is designed to run dry.And unlike Delrin, these steel washers will not swell over time and create friction. This is a great, high quality replacement for noisy and worn original ball and bakelite bearings and will eliminate all platter "rumble". Because the washer has a race for the 11 ball bearings it provides a very smooth and "quiet" ride and helps to reduce acoustic reverb. It also reduces friction and therefore helps your tired motor keep correct RPM speed.With six albums loaded on the Type A, it is carrying over 6lbs.....it's no wonder the original is worn out!
