Description: I want to start by saying that I am NOT a coin/currency dealer or collector. I am listing several coins, coin sets and currency today that have been accumulating over the years. Most of them have come from delinquent storage units that were auctioned and won by me. With that said, PLEASE look at the close up photos I am including with this listing, and make YOUR OWN determination of condition. This banknote is absolutely genuine AND old, however, I am perplexed by the date printed on this piece (bottom right of center). It LOOKS to be 1938, though I know this to be from a series of notes that were printed in 1838. I am guessing that the second number that looks to be a 9 is actually an 8 but the wrinkling and aging have just distorted it a bit. That's just a guess, of course, so please use your own judgement.
