Please contact me if there are ever any issues. I am glad to help, and will never miss a message.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------**********RAW CARD GRADING********** I have a comprehensive, detailed grading scale for cards, using the conventional guides. Every non-mint card is different from another. Pictures are very important, but so is description, since photos cannot capture what eyes can. Also, I am picky, so rest assured, you are buying from a collector with a good eye. My card scale: Mint: Must be pack fresh. Will be flawless, simply put. I would only list this if I pulled it from a pack myself. Near Mint (NM): This will be extremely clean. Only allows the most minor, subtle of wear. The card should still look incredible. I am picky about this. Lightly Played (LP): This will look NM at first glance, but this grade will allow more than a few hairlines / imperfections. From my store these will still be very clean and usually have very good if not crisp edges and corners. Exceptions are made if one thing makes up for another. Example: Perfect front, moderate back. I will average the grade. But I place more importance on the front of cards in general, especially holofoils. Moderately Played (MP): Now we're getting into cards that are more noticeably worn. Hairlines are now frequent across the front of the card, in a consistent, albeit light blanket across the card. None will be severe. No creases or bends, unless on the back in cases where the front is perfect. Exceptions to that will be extremely rare. Heavily Played (HP): Cards in HP condition simply have heavy handling wear on front and back. This is scratching and clouding/grime from obvious handling and not being generally cared for. MINOR creases will be allowed on the backs, or minor bends on the front. Exceptions are very rare. To me, HP still should not mean creased cards, unless the front is great. Damaged (DMG): Only in this condition will a card have finally be allowed to have frontal creasing--exceptions for HP condition must be pretty darn unique. Generally it is creasing that defines this grade, but sometimes I judge a card as damaged if the edges/corners are really just appalling to look at. But generally, for me, DMG means creasing and bending in one (major) or more (minor) places. Also, I pretty much won't sell any cards that are terribly creased. When people try to sell a card bent completely in half and straightened back out? Yeah, not in my house! NOTE: There are in between grades where the judgement is too close. For every grade there is a split denoted as either a MINUS or a SLASH indicating split. Example: NM- or LP/NM and so on. This is because, as mentioned, all cards are different, and I don't think the above scale is specific enough to describe a vast world of played cards, even with pictures. BUT, between HP and damage, I call it VHP (very heavily played), because a card is either damaged or not... there is no in between. Lastly, my pictures are there to emphasize/highlight the defects and flaws, not hide them.
