Description: For Sale is a Post-War Abstract Oil Painting by Peter Zvi Malchin / Malkin (b.1927 Poland d. 2005 New York City, NY). Malkin was a Self Taught Artist. He painted this Circa 1965. Owning one of his very Early Rare Paintings will enhance your collection and increase in value as the years go on. The painting is of abstract figures that fill the entire canvas. Each face has different expressions. His striping gives a patch work appearance, not unlike a quilt. There is no signature on the front. The back has a label that reads "Shivah" and Malchin, which is his birth surname, changed to Malkin. Being in Germany during WWII, many people changed their surnames. On the back, it also reads "O'Hana Gallery" in 2 places. Peter Zvi Malkin had a Show there. It also has numbers. There is tiny pencil writing above the label that reads "O'Hana" LRS Schere 12/33 It is in its original gold leafed frame & linen liner. The canvas measures 25 inches x 21.5 inches. The frame measures 27.5 inches x 24 inches. It's a Very Important Painting. Early showing of Malkin's self-taught style of storytelling. I'm posting a photo of Peter Zvi Malkin painting.
