Features some of the most spectacular animation in the history of the medium, dramatic staging and an ambitious song score by Stephen Schwartz. Steve Martin and Martin Short provide a short comic break, but overall the joking is kept to a minimum. Succesful in combining epic feeling with stylized animation.
