Description: ** Restored & Rewired **Antique/Vintage3 Chain Chandelier This 3 chain chandelier is a recent Lancaster County, Pennsylvania estate sale find. At that time the fixture was dingy, discolored, and in need of new wires. The decision was made to restore the fixture to its original beauty. The restoration process included the following:Complete disassemblyThorough cleaning of the glass partsHand surface sanding of the canopy, holder, and chainSpray painting of the canopy and holder with a color to match the originalApplying a clear sealer to the chainRewiring using new cloth covered wiresReassemblyTesting The glass shade is about 12-3/8" in diameter and has a depth of 4". It was made with clear molded glass. The outer surface has a beige coloration that had been permanently fused during production. Please note that near the center of the shade a small area of the coloration is absent (see photos.) Upon close examination it can be seen that this is due to a production flaw and not due to accidental handling. The outer edges of the shade and the glass accent piece attached to the holder have typical molding seam roughness. Other than this roughness, the glass parts are free of cracks, chips, and repairs. The three chains use to attach the shade to the holder are original and not modern replacements. When installed, the chandelier has a drop of about 20-1/4". The painted steel canopy is about 5" in diameter.Please refer to the photos to make your own determination of the condition of this lot. With the inclusion of the installation hardware seen in the photos, this lighting fixture is ready to install. The light bulb seen in the photos is for illustrative purposes and is not included in this listing.
