Description: This auction is for a Robert Sorby tang mortise lock chisel 3/8” size. It is 15” oa. Chisel is stamped R. Sorby Sheffield. Blade is in excellent clean condition, some minor stains. Cutting edge is undamaged, but could use a lite sharpening. Leather ring, brass ferrule and box wood handle are in fine condition no issues. This is an excellent user chisel. Multiple purchases: I will combine multiple purchases for shipping and recalculate the shipping cost for the combined package, you should wait until I have recalculated the shipping cost before paying. Shipping: I only ship by USPS. Orders over $200.00 will ship with signature confirmation, so please make any delivery arrangements. I will pack item the best I can, but cannot be responsible for item damaged or lost once in the possession of USPS. If something arrives damaged, retain all shipping materials so you can file a claim. Since 4/3/2022 the Post Office has added surcharges for oversized packages. $4 for any package over 22 inches and $15 for any package over 30 inches. The surcharge will be reflected in the higher shipping prices. Please be aware I may have to include a portion of what ebay charges on the final value fee for shipping costs. Shipping will include a $2.00 handling charge. Item pickup: Should you choose to pickup the item that is fine, but you must email me promptly once the auction ends for pickup instructions. Canadian & buyers outside continental US: The shipping amount shown in this auction will NOT be your shipping cost. DO NOT PAY for item until after I have contacted you with an accurate shipping amount. Import duties/charges (Canadian) are not included in the shipping cost, these will be the buyer's responsibility. Returns: I accept returns only if I have clearly misrepresented the item. Returns will not be accepted if the item is not in the same condition and/or with the original pieces as when it was shipped to the buyer. DO NOT MAKE ANY CHANGES/ALTERATIONS to the item if you are going to return it, as I will not accept it back. The buyer must notify me within 24 hours of item receipt to start return process.
