Painter, sculptor, draftsman, and illustrator Roberto Fabelo studied at the National School of Art and the Higher Institute of Art in Havana, Cuba. Throughout his career as an artist, he has been awarded numerous prizes and distinctions, including the Medal for National Culture (Cuba), the Alejo Carpentier Medal, first place at the 11th International Drawing Biennial in the United Kingdom, first place at the First Ibero-American Watercolor Biennial in Viña del Mar, Chile, and a UNESCO prize for the promotion of Fine Arts. Considered one of the most important artists in Cuban visual arts, an excellent draftsman, Fabelo showcases a figurative work with expressive and surrealistic elements, suggesting through his fantastic imagery. His world inhabited by beautiful women, who embody the infinite values while riding handsome roosters, invites us to enjoy suggestive, mischievous, and thought-provoking art. Considerado uno de los artistas más importantes de la plástica cubana, dibujante por excelencia, despliega una obra figurativa, de carga expresionista y cierto legado surrealista, que sugiere a través de su fantástico imaginario.
