He is further mentioned in the Supplement to the London Gazette, 23 Jan 1951 under the Physical Finess Branch in the Promotion section from Flying Officer to Flight Lieutenant as M.C. Stamford (165300).1. Post WW2 Royal Air Force Jacket/Tunic to Squadron Leader. Tailored jacket has Herbert Chappell Ltd label on inside. It is dated 3.12.59 and named to FL M.C. Stamford. Jacket has rank of Squadron Leader (Flight Leader) on sleeves. Also has sewn on ribbon bar for 1939-45 Star, France and Germany Star, Defence Medal, War Medal 1939-45, General Service Medal. I believe the jacket to be around US Size 40. Belt is inside front lower right pocket.2. Post WW2 Royal Air Force pants. No markings or label. No size noted. I believe it is at least a US size 32. Pants show some smaller pin holes toward ankles.3. Photocopies of London Gazette with Stamford's information.Jacket/Tunic and Pants show normal wear/tear associated with age/use.
