Description: Item under consideration is a elegant vintage set of 6 matching hand-painted porcelain bowls made by R.S. GERMANY of Germany. The set consist of one 9 3/8-inch diameter serving bowl and five 5 1/4-inch diameter berry bowls. All bowls contain identical floral patterns with exceptionally large decorative gold bands at the rims. The floral rendition consists of a demure display of pink/white blossoms with accompanying light green foliage interspaced with flashes of yellow coloration. Over all background coloration is creme. Bowls, uniquely, are of very fine construction that renders them light in weight and translucent. The large bowl has a 3/4 inch decorative band of gold on the rim.The smaller bowls have a 3/8 inch decorative band of gold on the rims. The iconic backstamp consisting of 'open wreath- RS inside-star above' (1910 thru 1943) is present. The initials of the artist are provided on some of the bowls (see photos).
