Description: Maker: This set of 6 pretty little demitasse cups and saucers has a red and green "Hand Painted Nippon" crown mark. It's mark number 10 in The Collector's Encyclopedia of Nippon Porcelain by Joan F. Van Patten, and it may be a mark of Meito China, but that is not confirmed. It's believed to date to around 1908 but its exact age is unknown. Design: The pattern features tiny roses accented in gold beading, or moriage, against a background of pink, blue and pure white porcelain. Size: The cups are 2 inches tall and 1 7/8 inches wide. The saucers are 4 3/8 inches wide. The set weighs 1 pound 7 ounces. Condition: All 12 pieces are in excellent condition with no nicks, chips, cracks, scratches, stains, repairs or crazing. Please check all the photos very carefully – they are an important part of the description.
