Description: SF Muni 1 on San Jose Ave near Geneva Carhouse 1978 Original Kodachrome Slide San Francisco Municipal Railway A type streetcar 1 on San Jose Ave near Geneva Carhouse. The new Muni Metro maintenance facility is visible to the left. Muni streetcar number 1 remained after the A class cars were retired from service in 1951. Motors were removed as part of a plan for static display. In 1962 the motors were reinstalled, and the car was available for occasional charters. It was part of weekend special service on the J Line in autumn 1982. It would continue in regular passenger service in 1983 for the Historic Trolley Festival and subsequent festivals from 1984 to 1987. It became part of the new F Line historic trolley fleet until 2006. It was completely rebuilt and restored in 2010 by Brookville Equipment Company of Pennsylvania..
