The ship was designed by STAR TREK legend Doug Drexler, who imagined it as a massive vessel that was over two miles long and that was grown rather than built. This is the XL version of the model which measures over 8.5" (22 cm) long and has a massive saucer. From the Star Trek Starships Collection, The USS ENTERPRISE NCC-1701 J has been painstakingly recreated in die-cast and plastic materials, and then hand painted with an incredible level of detail.
