"Starp Divam Janu Naktim" (Between 2 Midsummer Nights)-Kalme-1967-Latvian-Wth DJ

Description: Offered is the vintage Latvian-language book "Starp Divam Janu Naktim", written by Egils Kalme and published in 1967 by Gramatu Draugs, presumably in Latvia, part of the USSR at the time. The title (apologies for not being able to include the special Latvian marks on some of the letters) translates to something like "Between Two Midsummer Nights". The novel appears to be a first edition and includes the original dust jacket. This is a rare find; at the time of original listing I could not find any other copies for sale on eBay and only one elsewhere. The book is approx. 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" and contains 190 pages. The book is in very good condition. The green hard cover has almost no wear, the gold picture on the front and the gold words on the spine still partially bright. There is no cracking inside either the front or the back cover. The white endpapers are mostly clean, with some yellowing and light foxing. I see no missing or torn pages and all are well-attached to the binding, clean and clear, although they have yellowed. I see no writing in the book. The dust jacket has no large tears, but does have some raggedness along the top and bottom edges, with an approx. 1" long slit at the top and also about a 1" long slit along the spine. I have a lot of experience with vintage and antique books but am not an expert so please let me know if my description is missing information and you have additional questions.
