Carpenter is also one of several key players featured in brand-new interviews recorded exclusively for the collector's edition, including largely underappreciated actress Meg Foster, director of photography Gary Kibbe, and Carpenter's frequent musical collaborator, composer Alan Howarth. The best of the new talking-head featurettes is a conversation with costar Keith David, which also touches on his work with Carpenter for The Thing.
