Very well taken care of and has never been used outside! Works....but only partially. There are two black levers on the side of the truck. One says Lights On and Lights Flash.......the other says Ladder Left and Ladder Right. The lever that operates the ladder to move does not work at all. The ladder can still be moved in any direction 360 degrees....as well as extending the ladder in and out....but it has to be done manually. The lever that operates the lights....only works when it is positioned to Lights On. It does not work when it is set to the Lights Flash position. Now.............for the good stuff. This Fire Truck really is awesome! There is a small chrome lever just above the two black levers. Every time that this is pushed down...the square chrome looking door just beside the two black levers will open...revealing firemen gear inside. At that same time you will also hear a male voice and see the following: * Flashing Lights With Siren Sound* "Copy That! Tonka Fire Department On The Way!" (Flashing Lights)* "It's A Four Alarm Fire Chief!" (Flashing Lights/Siren)* "Tonka Fire Department On The Scene!" (Flashing Lights)* Loud...Buzzer Type Siren With Flashing Lights Doors can be opened to reveal a realistic looking cab interior! Wheels roll very smoothly. Simple on/off switch on bottom. Requires 3 "C" size batteries (not included).
