Toyo Case Donabe Clay Earthenware Stoneware Rice Cooker

Description: This would be considered folkware. It is hand decorated with blue/gray fish with a brown stripe around lid and bottom of cooker. The pot is unglazed . This cooker can be used over an open flame. In Japan the cooker is used as communal meal and simply placed in the middle of the table and all of the guest ate directly from it. Can be used for numerous dished instead of rice. It measures approximately 7" tall (from top of lid to bottom) x 11" wide (handle to handle) x 3 5/8" deep. Would make a wonderful addition to any kitchen collection. I purchase many item from estate sales. It makes it impossible for me to comment on smoke and/or pet free homes. Thank you for visiting.
