Vanson couldn't tell me too much on the jacket but it was registered to me. Jeff there said they did use thicker leather than now when it was purchased. It didn't sound like a non competition weight was available then. And I don;t remember having that option.This is NOT a fashion jacket. It will protect your skin in a spill. Based on measuring the leather thickness and talking to Vanson, this seems to be a much better jacket than I originally thought.US shipping only or local pick-up.
