Description: No Reserve!!! A rare early view of Place Impériale in Lyon France by B. Treille circa 1860s. The view has a hand scribed label on the back as "Place Impériale Lyon No. 9" and depicts an elevated view of this old square in Lyon. The stereo effect is excellent with a long leading view between the foreground and background. The photographer is B. Treille whose address is listed as Rue Imperiale, 58, Lyon and there is not much information on this rare photographer. Some history of this square: Between 1862 and 1871, it was named Place Impériale, then renamed Place de Lyon. When the Rue de Lyon was renamed rue de la République (by a prefectoral order on 5 September 1878), the square probably received its current name. I will combine shipping with any of my other stereoview auctions AND I will ship internationally I am starting to sell my large collection of Stereoviews (5k left) again after a 2year hiatus. Please stay tuned!!! "
