Description: Vintage 1950's Shure 51s Microphone. This baby is Nice! It appears to have been well stored. A real collectors' item from a bygone but much cherished era. The 51S is said to have been a favorite of Nat King Cole . They don't make these anymore, so here's a chance at a rare and wonderful piece of vocal/musical performance history. Sorry, but the cord is lost to history, but any standard three-prong cannon mic-cable will fit. I purchased this item several years ago from a gentleman in Los Angeles who did vintage electronic repairs for the Hollywood Prop houses. He fixed several old tube radios for me with no issues. He said this was used as a prop in several movies over the years and at the time of purchase he also told me that this microphone was in working condition. I accepted his word as he had always been honest with me in the past. I only used it as a display piece and never had the equipment to test it out. This is my total knowledge about the working condition of this microphone.
