Description: My mother bought this in 1950 to bring me home from the hospital in. Based on condition, she maybe neverused it again. I do not believe this was handmade because of the intricacies of the design, but there areno labels or markings on it. The piece is 40 inches square, excluding the 4 inch long fringe. The patternis squares and a starburst floral. The starbursts are decorated with 19 pink rosebuds with green leaves.There is a place where a 20th rosebud should be, but is not, yet there is not damage in this area. Theborder is of chevrons. No tears, stains, smells, or damage. This is perfectly usable for a baby today, andcould also be used as a throw or shawl wrap. Nice and warm.
