Description: Rare Victorian hand-embroidered, smoking cap from 1800s. In very good condition with white, yellow and green embroidered flowers on a golden-brown velvet, lined with cotton and felt. Purchased at Alameda Point Antique Fair in early 2000s. Have tried to show dimensions of cap in photos but should mention it is of a smaller size. These caps were often embroidered by women as gifts for the men in their lives during Victorian times. Inside of cap does not have as finished of a lining as others but adds to its charm.
