Description: Vintage Bonsai Jade Tree W/ Semi Precious Stones In Enamel Cloisonné Base This vintage bonsai tree is an exquisite piece of art. The traditional jade tree has flowers intricately carved, made of semi precious stones such as jade, agate, quartz, and carnelian flowers. The leaves,flowers, and pollen are all on wires so you can move and shape the different parts. The base is cloisonne. If you are not familiar with cloisonne, I will put a brief description below. Handmade with exquisite attention to detail. In great pre-owned condition, very light wear, a little dusty. See photo's for most accurate visual description 8" H x 8" W Cloisonné (from French: cloison = partition) is an enamel technique where formed wires in closed shapes are affixed onto a base and then filled with enamel. The wires form the raised walls or partitions surrounding these individual cells.
