Description: This is a gorgeous Vintage Wheeling Decorating Company Scalloped Candy Dish or Handled Bowl (Style Number 543), encrusted in 24k gold and etched with a delicate all-over floral and bird pattern know as Daisies, Roses and Doves. Based on the manufacturer's mark on the bottom, this piece was likely made sometime in the 1930s or early 1940s and decorated by the American-based Wheeling Decorating Company. This piece would make a lovely candy or nut dish, small console bowl, decorative accent, trinket dish--the sky's the limit! The bowl measures approximately 6.5" in diameter x 1.5" tall and is in very good vintage pre-owned condition. There is some mild spotting on the interior of the bowl and very light wear to the gilding in some small spots. There is crazing on the underside glaze that appears like a crack, but does not go through to the other side--please see photos for more details.
