Description: This large framed poster has the photo of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial bronze sculpture of The 3 Soldiers (sometimes called The Three Servicemen) superimposed over a large American flag. It's signed by the sculptor Frederick Hart with a personal inscription "For Jim Taylor with esteem for his service to his country, and with mutual reverence for the lost cause. Frederick E. Hart, Memorial Day 1986"The sculpture itself was placed in the National Mall in Washington D. C. on November 11, 1984. See photos for the names associated with the design of the poster. The framed picture measures 19" x 24". It's in very good condition; some wear on the frame and there are some small spots on the underside of the glass and I'm unsure if the glass simply needs cleaning on the inside or if they are age spots on the poster. The brown paper on the back is coming loose, too. but could be reglued if keeping the frame. For a bit more history of the sculpture that stands in D. C. I'll include this description I found: "In order to portray the major ethnic groups that were represented in the ranks of U.S. combat personnel that served in Vietnam, the statue's three men are purposely identifiable as European American (center), African American (right), and Latino American (left). These three figures were based on seven actual young men."Some of our larger or heavier items may be shipped by Fed Ex depending on buyer's location.
