Description: Vintage book of savings stamps from a Lubbock, Texas company. The cover has a fun western graphic as does each of the stamps. Savings stamps were a shopping incentive from the 1950's era that lasted for decades. When purchasing an item at select stores, you would receive sheets of the stamps which you would save and paste into books like this one. There was a variety of merchandise that could be obtained in exchange for the completed books of stamps. Once you had enough filled books of stamps you took them to a redemption center and chose the items you wanted. Most common were S&H Green Stamps. These Frontier Stamps were a regional variation of that idea. This book is almost full with a few pages still empty. Some one wrote a date in 1981 on the inside front cover. The company still existed then, but stamps were not as widely used by that time. The book certainly looks older, but could be from 1981. 3.5 x 5.75 inches. Ships with USPS media mail.
