vintage halloween Beistle black cat "one dancer" honeycomb decoration 1950s

Description: They don't make them like this anymore! Terrific, mid century Halloween cat decoration featuring honeycomb limbs & torso that "dance" in the wind or on your finger. Known as a "One Dancer" made by Beistle Co., these dancers were highly popular cat, witch, skeleton, Jack O'Lantern & scarecrow decorations in the 1950s - 1960s. Isn't this guy adorable? His colorful, vintage graphics still pop! Check out those eyes! Did you watch him dance in the wind in my attached video? I'm having a hard time letting him go....so you better take him home quickly or he just might stay with me for Halloween! The cat measures 26 1/2" long by 4 1/4" wide. His face from whisker to whisker measures 6" wide. Face, neck & paws are made of die cut cardboard, the rest is honeycomb tissue paper. The Beistle maker mark is on the bottom left of his bowtie. It says "made in the USA" on the right side. He is fully intact but there does seem evidence of tape & being put back together. I imagine these dancers generally lost their limbs after repeated use each Halloween. The honeycomb has been slightly flattened due to age, time & storage. Left arm is a bit more than the rest. If it had more of its original puffiness, he would dance even more than he already does. There are some dog ear bends to either side of his whiskers & one arm paw. Some spotting on his face & patina to the tissue paper honeycomb. All the face & paw features have no fading & are very vibrant. There is a hole at the top for a hanger. Overall in good to very good vintage condition considering its age & how it was used.
