It takes One C Battery NOT INCLUDED. The clock has a scuff to the clock face. I tried to picture it. It is hard to see but it is still there. It is approximately 22-1/2" Tall including the top finial and approximately 12-3/8" wide at its widest point and 5" thick at its thickest point. It displays well. It is a hard plastic.
