I used it every year to type my Thank you from Santa letter to my daughter as she grew up, Please see attached letter I typed while I created this listing. I obviously know what a typewriter is and how it works but I am not familiar with how a Vintage or antique typewriter is supposed to work. For example, when you use the return bar, the paper doesn't advance, you have to advance it manually or you just type over the last line, maybe that's normal.Anyway its a great piece, not sure where the serial number is. I cleaned it up a bit but needs cleaning, it's just many years of dust from sitting on a shelf. Hopefully the buyer will use it for his or her kids too. Shipping, my scale doesn't go beyond 20 lbs, and it is over that. I guessed at 33 lbs, will refund shipping difference if I was off, but as you know its the size more so of the package, so likely won't matter.
