Description: Up for sale is a vintage Mexican sterling silver and golden sheen obsidian choker necklace. Features 11 round golden sheen obsidian cabochons that are slightly iridescent. (This type of obsidian differs slightly from more common black obsidian in that the iridescent quality was caused by gas that was trapped inside the lave when it rapidly cooled.) In excellent condition. Signed "0925 ERR" inside a "Hecho en Mexico" circle. Measures 16 1/2 inches long including hook closure. Weighs approximately 55 grams on my kitchen scale.
