The base has a wonderful double scalloped skirt that hangs over the rim of the bowl. The base is cut crystal that flows into a 7 sided pedestal. This piece is EXTREMELY heavy and very high quality. Condition is EXCELLENT Measures 11 1/4" tall (including the lid), 6 1/2" in diameter, with a base diameter of 4 1/2". This is an absolutely stunning piece, the pictures don't do it justice
