This small part will fit inside of your buckle on the part that attaches to the strap. Once added under the clasp with the large hole under the clasp insert the pin once the end sticks out as long as you want the band to be extended. Then re-attach the band to the end of this part that is peeking out slightly longer than the length of the clasp. With this type of extender you will not need to trim the end of the band that you have dis-connected from the clasp. This style will fit with NO alterations to the band end. It's really a piece of cake. You can make your band up to .75 inches larger than it is now. Have a look at the Photographs and you should learn all that you need to in order to make this thing work for you. In order to determine the size of the extender that you will need, you will simply measure the width of your watchband at the end that attaches to the clasp. One end of your watchband will attach to the clasp and the other end of the clasp will be attached to the rest of the buckle assembly and you need not worry about that side. Order the extender that is just a hare smaller than the band width where the extender will be attaching to the end hole in the buckle. Hundreds of hand washings, Sweat getting into the spring etc. that it just doesn't have the spring that it once had.
