Description: This auction is for a vintage WESTINGHOUSE PRECIPITRON NAMEPLATE. This CAST ALUMINUM INDUSTRIAL EMBLEM likely dates to the mid-century, around 1940 - 1960. It measures 8" long x 4" high, and the aluminum has some corrosion/oxidation. The Precipitron was an industrial air cleaner. It was likely similar to the electronic air cleaners on a household furnace, but on a larger scale. A nice collectible from a Westinghouse machine.
