Originally a black-and-white publication, it added full-color covers with its 13th issue, and celebrated its 100th issue in 2003 by adopting a permanent, full-color format. Although devoted chiefly to horror, science fiction and fantasy, the magazine frequently delves beyond these genres into general mainstream cinema. All magazines are packaged with Collectors in mind. They will be individually bagged, and sandwiched between two pieces of over-sized cardboard. This not only helps to prevent magazine edge damage during the shipping phase, but it also helps to prevent folding and rough handling of the magazine(s).
