Description: The Mle. 22/35 overcoat was used by the French army during WWII, most notably during the 1940 French campaign (Battle of France). The coat has 2 rows of 6 buttons. The closure is completed by a hook at the collar. The interior has two chest pockets for personal belongings. The bottom of the greatcoat is equipped with buttonholes, in order to be able to fold the panels on the sides, using a button present on each side of the hips. This was to allow more freedom of movement or also better temperature regulation, depending on the heat. It has flaps on each side to support the belt equipment that can be buttoned-up.
