Description: This is an early, carefully crafted dagger. The handle is wrapped in stingray leather with cherry blossom symbols on both sides.All decorations are brass. Blade is steel and sharpened. The scabbard is also beautifully patterned with polished ray leather wrapped around it. There are a few unnoticeable scratches on the surface of the scabbard and there is a tarnish on the hardware.The guard is stamped Cherry blossoms and anchor naval symbol and Toyokawa Naval Arsenal with the letter “Yo” in katakana in the shape of a mountain.Lock on the scabbard works.
