Yaesu FT-101B HF Transceiver - Working Condition

Description: This is a Yaesu FT-101B HF Transceiver. The radio covers the traditional HF Bands, 160, / 80/75 / 40 / 20 / 15 / 11 / 10 Meters, and WWV on 10 MHz in receive only. It does not have any optional filter installed, only the stock SSB filter. Supported modes are CW, LSB, USB, and AM. It was built in 1974. It is a hybrid rig, meaning it is all solid state with the exception of the transmit driver, (12BY7), and final tubes, (2 X 6JS6). This one has OEM type Japanese Toshiba driver & final tubes installed. It puts out a solid 100 watts on all bands, (photos show output - readings were taken in "Tune" position). Receive works fine on all bands as well. All functions and controls appear to work as they should - some are a bit scratchy. Cosmetically, I'd rate it 6 out of 10. The cabinet has the usual scratches, scuffs, and marks. The front panel and controls are in fair condition. It has the older style of fan which in my opinion is noisier than the later fan design. I've used this rig on 80-, 40-, and 20-meter side band with no issues and excellent signal reports. The 11-pin octal plug on the rear panel includes a pigtail for keying an external amplifier - NOTE: this plug must be installed in order for the final tube filaments to get power. This auction includes the radio, the AC power cord, a generic hand mic, and a printed copy of the operating manual - The Dummy load / wattmeter IS NOT INCLUDED. Since this is a 50-year-old radio, it is being sold "AS IS". The radio will be shipped via FedEx Ground for actual shipping costs which I'd estimate to run between $35 - $75 in the ConUS depending on the buyer's location. Thanks for looking!
